A new Crafting Room!

I am SO excited about this! I have a WHOLE room dedicated to JUST my quilting and crafts...FINALLY I can set up the quilting machine, and I can have a place to actually work on my quilts without having to constantly pack them up and relocate them (or my sewing machine). I can leave my paints out on the table not kept in a box hidden away...I'll post pictures once I have it all set up!!! I'm like a kid in a candy store...chomping at the bit to get it all done so I can work again! My blue quilt is SO close to being completed, and my time is running out to get it finished before it needs to be shipped off. After that its time to fulfill some standing orders, and then to work on more crafts for fundraising. If you are interested in anything at all, feel free to email me and I'll either tell you a price, or try to send you to someone who can fulfill your request. :)

Wreath for Aiyana

This is Aiyana's wreath for her Pooh nursery. I used wooden flowers and letters for her name, and I couldnt find a hunny pot ANYWHERE so I made one out of a wooden "flower pot" that I filled with paint and hot glue to make the "hunny" .

Current Works in Progress:

The first quilt "Rhaphsody in Blues" will be approximately 8x12 ft finished...it is massive. :) 1536 little rectangles comprise the top of this one, but its turning out to be absolutely beautiful.

The blocks on the second picture (not a good picture by the way) are the blocks from the Old Town Quilts in Keller, TX 2005 Saturday Sampler BOM. These will be set with a deep indigo sashing and inset 8 point stars in various colors at each intersection.

These last two are kits that are patiently waiting in the wings for me once I complete the Blue one. As I want to have it done by a specific time since it is a gift for someone, I'm trying my hardest NOT to work on any others until I get it done.

The only other additions I will have to these will be the 100 Wishes quilts I make for myself and others who choose to order theirs. I have 2 on order already, but as these are much smaller, I anticipate being able to complete them much faster.

The addition of a Quilting Machine to my garage will greatly improve the speed with which I am able to finish these out as well. I can accomodate up to 10ft wide quilts on this frame. I cant wait to get it set up so I can play around with it. It hasnt been easy trying to work my way through the garage and clear out the space, but its getting there!

Homecoming Mum

Who knew that Homecoming mums were such a big deal in Texas?? I forgot to snap pics of the other ones I made, which were all for my daughter's pee-wee cheerleading squad. They participated in the Homecoming Festivities for one of the High Schools in the area. High Schoolers here pay MAJOR money for their mums every year...(I'm talking...car payment here) and I'm more than happy to make them as big and gaudy as they want. When it comes to Homecoming...they certainly do go by the "Bigger is Better" motto. This one is approximately 2.5 feet in length and was for my then 5 yr old.

Quilts!

This quilt was made as an end of the year gift for Ashley's Kindergarten Teacher last year. I had each child in the class trace their hands and write their names, and I transferred each one by hand onto the quilt top, and pieced the 144 HST's into a flying geese pattern.

This is the label I made for the back of the quilt, listing each child's name. Little did we know that Mrs. Thornton was a quilt collector! Turned out to be the perfect gift!!

The crafty side of life!

I figured that the other blog wasn't really an appropriate place to put all my ramblings and craft/sewing talk, so I had to make a second blog! Here is where I'll post up what I'm currently working on, projects in the making, and upcoming plans. Keep watching...I have a TON to post here but it might take me a little while to get it all up.

FAQs

Q: How long does it take to receive my items once an order is placed?

A: Typically an order will take appx 4 weeks to complete, but may vary depending on if I have to special order nametapes/patches/fabric/etc. If I am experiencing delays longer than that I will try my best to communicate that to you at the time of the order. I do not begin work on an order until payment has been made, unless other arrangements have been made.
--------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do you ship your items to customers?

A: Unless requested otherwise, all orders are shipped via USPS Priority Shipping with Delivery Confirmation. I will ship to military addresses, and international addresses, with payment for additional postage.
--------------------------------------------------------
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: I will accept payment via paypal for all credit/debit card payments. I will also accept USPS Money Orders or a Cashier's Check/Bank check. No personal checks and no third party checks will be accepted. All payments must clear before an order will be accepted.
--------------------------------------------------------
Q: Can I get a discount if I provide you with fabric, uniforms, patches, or nametapes?

A: Absolutely! Depending upon your items, I will gladly offer a discount for items I do not have to order or supply, as it makes my costs go down.
--------------------------------------------------------
Q: Can you personalize items with embroidered names?

A: Effective April 1, 2010, I will have the ability to add personalization and a variety of embroidery designs to my products. (YAY for getting a new machine!) My expanded capabilities will allow me to scan and digitize my own designs, so I can add just about anything you want to most any item. I have not yet developed a pricing structure for this feature yet, as I have not been able to calculate my time/costs so I will work with you on this aspect of an order.
--------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do I place an order?

A:
Until I can find a workable solution, please email me for information regarding an order. My email address is littleladybugscreations@gmail.com . Via email we can discuss details, specific desires, options, and pricing to finalize an order. Once we have settled on all of that, payment can be made via USPS money order, or paypal. (I only allow personal checks drawn on USAA Bank). Once payment is received I will start on your order.

If you do not see your question above, please feel free to contact me directly and I will get back to you as quickly as possible. Thank you!
