Miss Kaity's got a brand new bag!

While visiting family for Thanksgiving, I took one of my machines with me, intending on making a purse for my sister-in-law, who has been waiting patiently for quite some time. I also took along with me a variety of patterns for her to look over and see if something appealed to her. As we were going through them, my 3 year old neice pulled Ellen Medlock's Out & About Tote pattern from the stack and informed me that she needed a new bag, and it needed to be pink on the outside, green on the inside.

With my order in hand, her mom and I set out to find her some fabrics the evening before Thanksgiving. We found these cute prints at Walmart of all places, and I picked up some trim and buttons to give it a little bit of pizazz. Thanksgiving evening I started cutting out her bag while we had some down time and she was out of the house visiting other relatives (We did our Thanksgiving on Saturday)and by the time they came home that night her bag was done! I modified the pattern slightly, making the bag deeper, handles longer, changing the interior pocket sizes, and attaching the handles between the exterior and interior fabrics. Here is the end result, and little Miss Kaitlyn proudly showed off her bag to everyone around :)

2011 BOM

Ok, so thanks to one of my wonderful friends on facebook, I'm no longer an Electric Quilt failure. I've finally been able to wrap my brain around how it works, and churned out a few new designs. With my confidence boosted, I'm going to put in some of the designs I've sketched out into EQ and finally get them worked up into patterns.

My goal is to launch a BOM in 2011. My question is, what kind would people really like to see? Please check out my facebook bage Little Ladybug's Creations and add to the discussion what you would be most interested in.
